Why am I so sleepy?
Lately, I have become very sleepy in the afternoon starting around 2 or 3 pm. I have been falling asleep when I come home from work and sleeping for about an hour. I start feeling better around 7 or 8 pm.
I sleep 8 hours every night so I’m trying to figure out if it’s my diet (what I’m eating). I usually eat yogurt and a bagel or toast and drink a cup of coffee for breakfast. I rotate lunch, most often eating a salad or a chicken sandwich with milk.
Or is it spring doldrums? I am a teacher and this part of the year is a bit harrowing since we’re almost at the end.

It could be a number of things. There are many hormones that produce effects of energy such as cortisol, growth hormone, and some others. It could be that you are getting low on one of these…It could also be that you aren’t getting enough calories in you diet. I doubt that it is because it is spring, for most people their energy starts to pick up around now. I would start to track when and how long you sleep and schedule an appointment with your doctor, just to be safe.
